VICTORIOUS FAITH MINISTRIES

Victorious Faith serves in many ways to the Liberian population.

We Strive to Light the World through the Word of Jesus Christ.

Picture
Victorious Faith Church was established at the end of the long 15 year civil war in Liberia in April 2004, as a way to bring hope, love and a message of peace to people who were already battered by the awful hands of war. Since that time, the church has grown to over 250 faithful members attending in and around Monrovia; 4 branches in the counties or villages outside the city, 2 in the city of Monrovia and 17 preaching points or house Bible Study locations in the city.

THE CHALLENGE
Ninety percent of our congregation is unemployed - including students - only ten percent have jobs where they receive less than $100. So many people even come to church without food.  The church try's it's best to provide but funds are often unavailable as the congregation is unable to sustain the needs through their tithes and offerings. Our goal is to address the economic issues by providing training opportunities in financial management and general marketing skills. Upon completion of the training sessions, select members will be provided with funding from a micro loan system for business start-ups to ensure self-sustainability.

Victorious Faith Academy reaches out to refugee children and children of the community - most of whom have never had an opportunity to attend a formal school.
Most parents cannot afford to pay school fees due to low income or lack of employment.
Some families with multiple children would choose one child to attend while the others would have to wait.

THE CHALLENGE
Our school has over 180 students but 90 percent of them are unable to pay the school fees before the end of the school year. We depend on those fees to pay the works, renew our license and costs related to the children's education. Staffing - Funding to hire or contract qualified staff that are committed and dedicated and efficient in preparing children for the future School Buildings - Currently we are using a temporary facility that leaks when it rains. We have a plot of land behind the church but need $50,000 to construct 2 buildings - an Elementary and Junior High

Victorious Faith Community Clinic was established in 2012 to serve the highly populated area around our church that didn't have a clinic. After one of my pastor's sons fell ill in the middle of the night and he couldn't receive care, I prayed and took a bold step to establish a clinic/medical facility in the area in order to help out. It started with one old microscope and two volunteers and has become a huge blessing to the community. The clinic currently serves as the only health facility in the Battery Factory Community and is registered as a medical center, providing consultations, diagnosis and treatment of preventable diseases, and facilitates referrals of major emergency medical conditions to nearby hospitals.

THE CHALLENGES
Medications are sold at an expensive price which makes it difficult to keep in stock. If we can get basic medicines, mainly for malaria, pain, fever, and antibiotics, it will help out a greatly, as well as lab test machines and microscopes. We are, trying to build a spacious and durable health facility to serve more of the community, and would love to have volunteer medical missionaries come along side us to help render some medical services to help our people.

Addict 2 Disciple came into reality January 1st 2016. As I looked at the streets of Liberia I saw the blood shut eyes of our youths, increased crime rate, and make shift ghettos in almost every community. I attended an effective and rigorous training in the USA on the subject of discipling to an addict. After the training, I prayed and decided to start to evangelize and disciple addicts upon my return to Liberia from the USA. By taking these men and women off the streets and putting them through a program, usually 6 months, and teaching them not only the love of God, but also his word, we are seeing chains set free from addiction. They are then sent back into their community to evangelize and disciple others in what they have learned.

THE CHALLENGE
Our needs for this program are Bibles and Christian Literature that we can pass out for study materials to these men and women. Currently we are housing them in a 4 bedroom single home near our church, but would love to be able to build a rehab center for the people coming in to go through the rehab process.
